Artist Statement
Much of what surrounds us is treated as inevitable simply because it already exists.
I am interested in looking again.
At objects. Systems. Technology. Ownership. Consumption. Work. Status. Progress. The things people value and the extraordinary amount of ceremony we build around them.
The work does not belong to one material or medium. I use whatever serves the idea — physical objects, digital images, characters, artificial intelligence, traditional processes or combinations of them.
I am less interested in perfection than in whether something has something to say.
Sometimes the response is critical. Sometimes affectionate. Sometimes absurd.
And sometimes the most appropriate response to the world is simply:
All this fuss... really?
